In-house development and patents
Innovation is not an add-on for us but the foundation of our products. We hold several patents and protected solutions, including globally unique equipment: the vertical filtration station and a laboratory with the sophisticated MPC measuring device – Microscop Partikl Control.

ASTOS and the group METG
ASTOS Machinery is part of the engineering group Machinery Equipment Technology Group a.s.(METG), which brings together manufacturing and technology companies with complementary competencies in automation, machining and industrial production. The group also includes the company M.A.S. Automation a.s., which develops automation and conveying technology.
Membership in the group gives us a strong manufacturing base, shared know-how and a stable capital background for carrying out even the most demanding international projects.
Machinery Design — in-house design and development
Growing customer demands for innovative and efficient solutions led in January 2013 to the founding of the specialized design and development company Machinery Design s.r.o. The team was deliberately based in the Science and Technology Park in Plzeň — one of the leading incubators of technology companies supported by the European Union — right next to the University of West Bohemia.
A team of young engineers brings new ideas, continuously and innovatively develops the ASTOS Machinery product range and handles comprehensive turnkey projects according to the customers’ individual specifications. It is our own development that sets us apart and that stands behind our patented solutions.
We manufacture in the Czech Republic, on the border with Germany
Complete development, manufacturing and assembly take place at our plant in Aš, strategically on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany, within reach of the key European industrial centers.
Mutual cooperation with technical universities
Cooperation with universities has long been part of our development. Together with leading Czech technical universities we work on research, on the development of new solutions and on involving students practically in real projects.
This cooperation also stands behind the founding of our development company Machinery Design and behind the steady inflow of young engineers and new ideas into ASTOS Machinery.

Support for secondary technical schools
We support young apprentices and students in engineering fields. We cooperate with the schools ISŠ Cheb a ISŠTE Sokolov. We offer students an internship directly at ASTOS Machinery under the guidance of experienced specialists.
Projects co-financed by the European Union
We also advance our development in projects supported by public funds.
The project is co-financed by the European Union. Its aim is the research and development of new filtration equipment for use in conveyor systems. The core of the solution is combining several units into one system that can, above all, clean and regenerate the filtered liquid.
The project is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the TREND program. It was financed under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility. Its aim is to create an innovative filtration system and camera-based light analysis.
The project is co-financed by the European Union. The service covers the design and experimental verification of a method for analyzing particles of various sizes in process fluids using a microscope with a flow cell.
